Doug Interviewed by Country Music Notes

Shannon Miller of Country Music Notes talked to Doug Briney a few weeks back, and her interview with the Alaskan Cowboy is now live on their website. She writes, "A country singer from Alaska? Sure, he probably gets that a lot, but Doug Briney is definitely as country as they come. You can hear it in his songs and voice, the way he relates to the music and fans just the way a country heart does. His latest single “More Than Just a Farm” puts that country heart on display with a tale of a lifestyle being so much more than just a farm. And as a pastor, Doug also has a unique perspective to bring to the table." Read the interview at http://countrymusicnotes.blogspot.com/2012/11/doug-briney-alaskan-cowboy.html.

Doug Announces First Single Release For Atlanta-based CBM Records

MTS Management Group and CBM Records' country music recording artist, Doug Briney are happy to announce the radio release of Doug's new single, "Deja Vu All Over Again."  The single will be officially released for radio airplay on December 4, 2012.  It is the third single from Doug's critically acclaimed debut album, "It's All Country."

"Deja Vu All Over Again" was written by Pat Kelley and Donna Opfer.  The previous two singles from Doug Briney, "More Than Just a Farm" and "It's All Country" were both either written or co-written by Mr. Kelley.  Both singles have received international airplay and worldwide independent chart success.

"When I was listening to songs for my album, I must have listened to at least 300 songs before I found the perfect ten that made the final cut," says Briney.  "Pat's songs just spoke to me.  I immediately connected with the messages in his music, and I feel very blessed that the fans and radio have really shown their love and support for them, too."

"Deja Vu All Over Again" is Doug's first single for his new label, CBM Records, based in Atlanta, GA.  It will be the final single from "It's All Country."  Doug is scheduled to enter the studio in early 2013 to record brand new music for a forthcoming EP project.

Doug Hits Top 10 On KHXI FM in Oklahoma

Press Release from KHXI FM, Cowlington, OK

November 16, 2012

Jimmy Parker and "Thought I'd Be Home By Now" has easily shown why he is king with a decisive hold on the most requested song on KHXI-FM. This multi-talented artist has shown that his passion for his music and the endearing story lines pull the listener in and tears at the heart. His brand of music can only be described as "pure and genuine country".

Once again our listeners have shown that the Independent artists is a force to be recognized, as the likes of Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and other national artists have fallen to the wayside and didn't even make it to the top 15 artists. This week was indeed a week of reckoning as Amy Rose and "Redneck Reunion" came in second. TJ Maddux and "Homegrown Country Girl" is third, Lynn Hooker's "Good ole' Boys" is fourth, Carl Grimes "Just a Plain Piece of Cloth" is fifth, Doug Briney is 6th, Angie Rosener is 7th, Mike Archer is 8th, Mike Lynn is 9th and a real surprise, John Conlee with his classic song "They Also Serve" came in at number 10.

The Independent artist has shown, time and time again, that they are as good as, but oft times are better than, the likes of the national acts that dominate other radio stations. KHXI-FM is and will always play what our listeners want and not what some big shot sitting at a desk in LA or New York tells us what our listeners need to hear. We listen to what you want to hear, and you have spoken. You, our loyal listener have spoken and we listened. The Independent artist is here to stay. We want to thank all of the artists for giving the entire world this great music.

Doug Hits Roots Music Report Top 10

Congratulations to Doug Briney on his first entry into the Top 10 of the Roots Music Report True Country Chart! Doug's album,It's All Country is at #6 this week, just ahead of George Strait's Twang. Also in the Top 25 are Johhny Paycheck, Josh Turner and Stonewall Jackson. Promotion of the album is being handled by Western Heart Promotions, in addition to MTS Management Group. To view the entire chart, visitwww.rootsmusicreport.com.

According to their website, Roots Music Report is the number one independent music chart in the world. We compile radio airplay data from radio stations around the globe that play all forms of roots music, so that each week you can see which independent artists are being played the most by what stations. Unlike some charts out there we do not alter, accept payment for, or manipulate the airplay data to give rankings for our charts. Stations reporting their play list is the only way for artist to appear on our charts. RMR is not owned by or influenced by any labels or record promoters as some charts are known for.
