We just learned that the local news feature, taped a couple of weeks ago, at Doug's Cowboy Coffee Shack, will air tonight!  Here's what Doug told us: "Tonight on Fox 4 at 9:00pm Alaska time and at 10:00pm on ABC 13, is when the feature is going to air here (in Alaska.) MTS Management Group is proud to announce that country music artist and Alaskan Cowboy Doug Briney has been invited to sing the national anthem prior to the Anchorage Bucs vs. Glacier Pilots baseball game on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.   The game is scheduled to begin at 7pm local time, and there will be a fireworks display following the game, at midnight. Tickets for the game are available at Anchoragebucs.com.

"We're so happy for Doug," said Michael Stover, head of MTS Management Group.  "Doug is a patriot, who loves his country and the armed forces, so this is a very special honor for him.  Being that the game is the night before Independence Day makes it all the more special."

The Anchorage Bucs Baseball Club is a college summer baseball team in Anchorage, Alaska. The team has been a member of the Alaska Baseball League since 1981. They were originally formed in 1980 as an Anchorage Adult League team. Former players who advanced to the majors include Keith Foulke, Geoff Jenkins, Wally Joyner, Jeff Kent and numerous others. They were known as the Cook Inlet Bucs until 1984.

Indie Chart Update

The numbers are in for this week, and it's good news for Doug! Thanks to your votes, Doug's single, "More Than Just a Farm" is the #18 country song, according to the Independent Music Network's fan voting-based chart. Please take a moment and cast your vote for next week's chart RIGHT HERE. EVERY vote counts, and Doug is depending on you to get back into the Top 10.

Meanwhile, on the CMG Radio Network Top 100 chart, Doug's track, "It's All Country" continues it's climb to #35, up 3 spots over last week.
